Melted Snowman cookies

Oh man..Don’t you love these
SNOWMAN COOKIES?
They are just too cute. I have to tell you that these cookies didn’t last too long in my house.
The cookies were seriously gone in just a few hours.
I spotted these adorable cookies in Parents magazine, and we got right on it to give it a try. I did not completely follow the original recipe, but they turned out perfect the way I made them. I used meringue made from egg whites instead of icing, to top the cookies.
One of my favorite things in the kitchen is to make a mess with my boys. They are always up for it..haha. And now that Christmas is just right around a corner we will have lots of messy kitchen days:-)
I used store bought sugar cookies this time { I usually don’t buy refrigerated cookies }. So if you have your favorite sugar cookie recipe, just make a dozen of cookies start with.

You will only need a few ingredients to make these super cute cookies.

These Snowman cookies will be great desserts for your Christmas party.

My boys loved the meringue on the top of the cookies.
They totally thought its whipped cream:-)

  1. Hello,

I came across your recipe. I am wondering how long the meringue lasts as I would like to make these for a cookie exchange!

    1. Hello! Ours did not last long as it was too cute to leave it on the kitchen table for long-haha. But really, the meringue will shrink a bit after you take it out of the oven but it would definitely hold up for you to take it to a cookie exchange. Let me know how it works for ya if you are going to make it! Have a wonderful day!

    1. How do you get your meringue so fluffy? I used the egg whites that are already separated out, maybe that's my problem? My meringue just gets to be the consistency of thick icing…. 🙁 The marshmallow heads are currently browning as I type! 🙂 thanks for the recipe

    2. Jenn, I hope your meringue turned out just right. Make sure you use your electric mixer on the highest speed and there is no egg yolk mixed into your whites. It's also important not to add the powdered sugar until soft peak stage.Have fun baking and Merry Christmas to you!
