One tradition that we love to do around the Holidays is the Christmas countdown. My boys love the idea, and we like to open up each of those little cards every day to see what FUN activity we are up for the day. I love to write notes to each card ( or back of the card this time) with fun holiday related activities. Each year I try to come up with different Advent calendars and I always make sure it goes with my current holiday decor. I love to write notes to each card (or back of the card this time) with fun holiday related activities. Each year I try to come up with different Advent calendars and I always make sure it goes with my current holiday decor. If you have been following for a while, you might know how much I love to watercolor.

I have been busy lately with our ONE ROOM CHALLENGE project, so painting was pushed back some, but as soon as I found some ME time, I sat down and created these cute cards that I am sharing with you all for FREE for a short period. You can print these cards, cut them and use them any way you like. These cards are for personal use only, resale is not allowed.

The Christmas tree is not up yet in the house, but I decided to use neutral colors with a bohemian touch for decor this year. So with that being said, I wanted to hang a bohemian wall hanging in the living room, so this cute idea was born in my head, that the cards I painted would be perfect if I use them on a wallhanging.

I don’t do macrame but it’s on the list for 2017. I have  already purchased some rope, so I had that handy for this project. In the yard, I found a nice (actually really perfect) wooden stick that I used for my wallhanging. With a simple macrame knot technique, I made the wallhanging little more interesting. I punched a hole on each little card and I thread the rope through the hole to hang the cards.
