DISTRESSED WALL ART

Hello Friends!
I know it’s November and many of you are getting ready for Christmas and Holiday Decoration, but I am still in fall mood.
I ♥ fall with it’s colors, the chilly air, hearing leaves crunch beneath my feet.
I Â made these handcrafted , antiqued wall arts and displayed them in my entry way.
Yeah…You may think I am crazy to redecorate this little piece of wall a zillion time, but I love to change decor according to the current season.
I shared some of my last year’s photography not too long ago HERE ,which I printed and displayed in photo frames.
This time I photographed some autumn fruits and some very colorful leaves, pumpkins that I thought would look nice if pictured.
These below are my new photos that could be downloaded and printed at my ETSY SHOP so you can create this easy, distressed wall art  yourself.
So to start this project you will need:
– Wood panel, cut into same { mine was 12″ }size pieces
– pictures of your choice
-mod podge
– wood finish stain
-choice of your colored paint { I chose my favorite off white}
-sand paper
-brushes to apply mod podge and paint
First, I sanded the edges of the wood panel. I made it nice and round.
Guess who helped me with this….my little 2 yrs old —so cute:-)
The next step was to paint on the a dark wood stain.
Make sure you let the wood finish to dry completely.
I printed my photos at Office max.
I asked them to print on a good quality, shiny paper- not on a photo paper.
It cost me about 0.30 c each. Yeah!

I arranged my pictures on the stained wood panels.
Used mod podge to applie the pictures to the panels.
Painted my off white paint around my image.
Once the paint was dry I started sanding the white paint off until the brown color shined through.
Covered my art with mod podge to reach the finish , glazed look.
I cut a piece of burlap to hang my wall art. Usedthumbtack to fasten the burlap to the back of my wall art.
Don’t you love this antiqued looking wall art?
…I am loving it…
These unique handmade wall arts would make great gifts for Christmas.
You could apply any pictures you wish according to any season or any occasion.
I am planing to add some winter, Christmas photographs to my gallery soon at my ETSY SHOP.
