DIY DEER TROPHY WALL ART (WEST ELM INSPIRED)
.Today I am not sharing a recipe, neither a project from the boys room (stay tuned, more to come). Summer weekends are so BUSY and honestly, I wasn’t cooking anything special this weekend. But I was making this Deer Trophy Wall Art that really only took me 15 minutes of my time on Saturday. I was photographing my new …….. , if you come back tomorrow, you will see 🙂 and I thought I am so missing something from the big picture. Then I went to one of my favorite inspiration place on my computer ( not Pinterest this time) but West Elm on the web, and found this lovely deer trophy wall art which I LOOOOOVED and I decided to replicate. I loved the color combination on this wall art but I was only working what I had at home. I found silver, gold, rose and yellow colors and I think it turned out just gorgeous with these colors.
I set down to my computer and by looking at this art on the monitor I was able to draw somewhat similar to the original art. Okay…it looks different a bit but I was happy with it.
My dad is a pretty talented painter (only hobbiest) and I think I got some sort of talent from him, as copying something by looking at it was never an issue for me. After I draw the lines, I used my SHARPIES (OIL BASED PAINT) to color my art.
Nop, I am not left-handed, only switched because I can not photograph with left hand – LOL. I chose colors that goes with my colors scheme in the bedroom. Oh, yeah… so this wall art is part of my MASTER BEDROOM makeover, which by the way, coming to an end slowly.
What do you think? I think it turned out pretty darn good.
