SIMPLE DINING ROOM CHRISTMAS DECOR
It’s time to show you my quick dining room update and my simple dining room Christmas decor.
This dining room update was not planned. At all.
Well, that’s how things happen in my house generally:-) Unexpectedly. When Krista from The Happy Housie asked me to participate in this fun Christmas blog hop, I thought maybe I can swing this super quick room update that I have been thinking about for a while now. If you following me here, you know that just recently (a month ago tomorrow) I revealed my BATHROOM remodel that was not a small project. At all. After that project the hubs said not to ask him anything more this year:-)) Oh well, two weeks went by…fast enough, and I told him that it would be great if we could paint the dining room before the holidays.
And he was in a good mood and said: Bring it on:-) Then taping and super quick painting later, we have a whole new dining room you guys! I mean, I loved the room before too, but I was SO tired of the yellow walls which have been the same for I think five years.
This is how it looked before.
And this is what it is now
Wall color above chair rail: BEHR -ULTRA WHITE
Wall color below chair rail: BEHR- CALLIGRAPHY GRAY
And I think it looks fabulous with the new colors. It’s amazing what a little paint can do! And it’s an easy fix to any rooms.:-) I also took my large paintings off the side wall and rearranged them on different walls. Nope, I did not get rid of them
I used lots of greenery, simple decor to dress the room for Christmas.
I had some never used embroidery hoops handy, and I created some easy decor pieces to hang in a few places in the room. Very much love the green, brown and white combo. Classic, fresh and very pretty.
Few months ago I laid two rugs on the top of each other and I think that helped to get the look together.
