TOURING THROUGH BLOGLAND

Sharing is caring!

Tour

Hi Friends! Happy Monday!

Dropping in today with something different. I was invited to be a part of “TOURING THROUGH BLOGLAND” that is going around these days on blogosphere. The purpose of this tour is to getting to know me just a little better and finding new, amazing bloggers …because there are so many out there that you guys may not know.:-)

I was invited by the TALENTED Summer from Simple Stylings.

Simple StylingsSummer is the sweetest person ever. I was lucky to meet her in person at Haven this past month. I love her simple yet super, creative ideas and projects. Her son is just adorable and they love to create things together ♥. She is also shares her talent here, on Place Of My Taste, once a month. Visit her blog to get to know her better.

So, let’s get to my questions, as I am suppose to answer 4 questions…

WHAT AM I WORKING ON?

Well, if you follow me, you know that I tend to work on several projects at the same time. Currently we are still working on our bedroom makeover and we are also started the boys room makeover just a few weeks ago. Crazy. These are really two major projects and it involves lots of small creations. The bedroom is almost finished and I can not wait to share the whole revel with you all. In the background I also work on my home office ( I feel like that is an always evolving room).

HOW DOES MY WORK DIFFER FROM OTHERS IN MY GENRE?

Well, It’s a hard question. We, bloggers, we all have our styles and own personalities that we show through our creations. I like to be brave with colors and I am not shy to show that off here on Place Of My Taste. When I brainstorm ideas, color is usually my number one inspiration.

WHY DO I CREATE/WRITE WHAT I DO?

I started blogging to document all my creations, DIY-s and recipes. Long before I had Place Of My Taste, I was always digging in some sort of project or room makeover. Pinterest truly inspired me to start my little blogging journey back at end of 2013. I have to tell you, I am so glad I did. I don’t usually talk about my blog with neighbors or friends because they don’t care, or perhaps they don’t even know that I  have a blog. Through my blogging  journey I found some really amazing Friends who are like ME and we can talk and adore each other’s work and projects. As English is my second language and I never went to school here in the US, writing was a bit difficult for me in the beginning. My grammar is still not good 🙁 and I make lots of mistakes ( I know, it’s horrible) while writing, but it is still does not stop me from writing about what I LOVE to do, creating beautiful. If nothing else, my photos should make you forgive me for my grammar mistakes-LOL.

HOW DOES MY WRITING/CREATIVE PROCESS WORK?

I brainstorm, create, take LOTS of photos, edit some photos (keep lots of photos) and write a blog post to share it with the world! That’s it. Sounds super easy, right? Well, that is not the truth. The sad truth is that nobody sees all the behind the scenes. There is lots of work behind one pretty blog post. Unfortunately, I am usually super duper last minute.

Shhhhh.

I know I will be in trouble some day because of this. Some people schedule in advance, I typically don’t. Believe it or not, I am writing this post Sunday night, at 11PM so it could go live 8 am in the morning.

  C-R-A-Z-Y..!

Yes!

Because of my day job, my kids and my life in general, there is no time during the day to write my blog posts. I blog only at night, when is quite in the house. I take a lot on and I get tired sometimes, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. Just recently I had to learn that life is too short and I have to enjoy EVERY MOMENT of it…and I do, I enjoy creating beautiful and sharing it with the world.

That is it for me, my Friends!

Now, let me introduce you to 3 incredible woman.

URSULA FROM HOME MADE BY CARMONA

Ursula is just an amazing blogger. She is very funny and I love her style and I am sure you will too.

Ursula

“Hi, I’m Ursula from Home Made by Carmona. I’m a homeschooling mom to 3 beautiful and super girly girls, I’m a lover of all things beautiful (although my wallet’s creed is “just say no”), and an organizing aficionado (although my house didn’t get that memo), and I’m pretty handy too (ignore the rattling of the dryer I just fixed). That sort of makes me a DIY junkie; after all, when you really want something but can’t afford it, what do you do? You guessed it! Seriously, I probably say “hey I bet I can do that myself” about 20 times a day…which is balanced out by the 1 out of 3 projects where I realize that it was a lot harder than it looked. *grin*  I hone my expertise with each project, and if I can do it so can you!”

AMY FROM THE BLISSFUL BEE

Amy is a darling person. She has such an amazing style. I love her fashion posts, very inspirational.

  1. Your pictures are amazing. Editing can be such a chore, I know. There is so much work involved, especially when you run a DIY or craft blog. But you do it so well and your style is beautiful. Thanks for a little sneak peek behind the scenes!
