CHRISTMAS MANTEL DECOR
I am excited to take part in a fun blog hop this week again, hosted by Krista over at The Happy Housie. You know what I love doing right after Thanksgiving? Start digging out my Christmas decor from the attic and get on decorating. This year I decided not to spend on holiday decor but to use what I had on hand from previous years. I am so glad I chose this way as my Christmas mantel looks fantastic right now.
I loved last year’s woodsy tones, and I have that on repeat this year. I made that fun DIY wreath with the crossed wooden bars for my front door last season, but I decided to bring it inside and place it above my fireplace. Those two stained tree shapes were also part of last year’s outdoor decor, and they also ended up on my mantel this time.
The beaded garland was a DIY and I still owe you the tutorial for that. I promise I will post it this or next week. It’s really an easy DIY and fun addition to my Holiday Mantel. The brown paper trees (with printable shapes) were made three seasons ago, and they make their way out each year. That’s how much I love them. Head on, download the shapes and make yours. It’s a fun craft with kiddos!
I added some greens from the backyard and I picked up some eucalyptus at Trader Joes and I braided them into the garland I made. Sometimes all you need to do is to look no further than your backyard.:-) I sprayed my wreath with fake snow to give it a little drama.
What do you think of my woodsy-boho Christmas mantel this year? I couldn’t love it more. There will be lots of hot cocoa going down to belly in front of this cozy fireplace. 🙂 And here is a little peak of my tree. We always have REAL tree, and we always pick Fir but we went with White Pine for this Christmas.
