Boo!!

Can’t believe that October is just a few days away…

…and that Halloween is just short 4 weeks away. Holidays are always so exciting to get ready for. I especially love seeing lots of  Halloween Candy, cool spooky decorations and lots of awesome costumes.

FUN,FUN, FUN

Over the weekend I went to pick up some groceries at my local Walmart and of course I ended up at the Halloween candy aisle first.

Look at this…. a big bunch of  Halloween candy! You just simply can pass these aisles without checking them out:-) Or at least I could not!

Nestle

Of course, while I was there, I thought I get my Holiday candy shopping done before the aisles will be empty. I bought some Butterfinger Snack size and a few bigger assorted bags like the Nestlé Jumbo Variety Bag. Usually, we both go around with the kids as we like to see other houses dressed for Halloween but I also love to treat our little Trick or Treaters who stop by at our house. Since we are out with our kiddos, I  normally put out a huge bowl of candy to the front porch for other Trick or Treaters. I thought it would be fun to make cool, scary looking candy bowl for our visitors this year and treat them with these perfect sized Nestle bars.

This pretty cool candy bowl was born in less than 10 minutes.

All I needed was two inexpensive snack plates, hot glue gun, black spray paint and some skulls , skeleton and plastic spiders to make it look fun.

I spray pained the snack plates and once they were dry I set the plates on the top of a sand filled plastic bin. I ended up hot gluing the plate to the plastic bin. I also glued the the top of the skull, which holds the top plate to make sure it will be stable as I know kids will move the bowl with their hands by taking the candy bars out from the bowl.

I placed some skulls around the plastic bin so the bin wouldn’t be visible at all.

I really like how it looked when I filled the plates with the Halloween candy bars.

I dig out some of last year’s decoration and used it to make our front porch look Halloween-ish.

I made this 2 minute Halloween wreath to decorate the front door.

  2. I love this! It turned out so cute and I love how simple it was to put together! What a great idea for those who are out tricker treating to leave at their own house for others until they get home!
