KITCHEN REFRESH IN PROGRESS – GOING SLOW

What did I think when I signed up for this kitchen refresh??? Dah!!

I did not think it’s going to be a massive makeover, but you guys – I had to realize that anything that’s getting done in the heart of the home is not only inconvenient, but it throws everything off too.  Our regular schedule I mean! The kitchen is useless which I didn’t think about before we started this refresh! And when I sit down and plan makeovers I usually don’t think about problems. We have done many room makeovers for the One Room Challenge, hosted by Linda over at Calling it Home,  like our bathroom remodel or family room makeover and yes, we had to deal with unexpected issues with both makeovers but you kinda try to avoid that thought that you will face problems again.

Wrong! I just have to say that there are always surprises!

So we took off the cabinets where I planned to hang a ductless range hood, and that’s what we found. I huge hole on the wall that needs to be fixed by someone who knows how to fix drywall. I mean my husband can do many things, but he said he wouldn’t fix that! Now I am on a hunt for a drywall guy!:-(

The kitchen cabinets are getting pained this weekend ( I hope so). We are in the process of taking the cabinets down and prepare them to be sprayed.

I got my gorgeous colors from BEHR, and I can’t wait to start on the painting.

I chose dark gray for the lower cabinets and white for the upper cabinets.
