These lovely watercolor Easter eggs came to live yesterday. Today I will show you we painting Easter eggs around here:-)
PAINTING EASTER EGGS

This year, somehow I just could not get around much Easter projects. Days, weeks and moths flew by without noticing that it is almost the end of March already. Do you feel that time flies, too? So last night I set down I painted these lovely feathered eggs. Just for my sake. To get me into Easter mood. My older son joined me in the fun and he got pretty frustrated because he could not get the feather going on his eggs but then I told him to paint something that he loves the most, and he painted me a flower on his egg♥♥. Because Easter is so early this year, I am not feeling inspired. We will have a fun Easter egg hunt in my backyard this Saturday that the boys will love for sure. Can’t wait.

Painting has taken a big part of my “free” + “me” time lately. And if I want, to be honest with you that is not a whole lot of time out of my busy days. Being there as a good mom, running a family business, a photography business, keeping up with my blog is sometimes almost impossible to manage. But I am trying so hard and some days I am exhausted and tired, but somehow something keeps me going. And until that enthusiasm is there, I will try my best to succeed and maintain this craziness.:-)

For these painted eggs blew 12 large white eggs because I wanted to keep these eggs for years to come. I did the same thing last year with these MARBLED EGGS, and I still have them around. Blowing out my eggs did not take more than 5 minutes.:-)

Then using my favorite paint, Winsor, and Newton tubes and using my smallest  Artist paintbrush I started painting my cool feathers. I had some feathers to look. It always helps my imagination to look at something similar when I paint. Even just for color inspiration:-) I played around with my colors, I used brown, black, yellow and mixed them well. I loved going slow and adding little details to my eggs. They turned out real pretty.

I, of course, also painted some gorgeous floral designs. I love to paint florals and beautiful flowers. Even on eggs:-)
