Well, well.  This is the 5th week of the One Room Challenge, and I suppose to share some lovely images this week, but I am still unable. Say what??

So welcome back, guys! It’s the 5th week of the ONE ROOM CHALLENGE! I am so excited to participating as a featured designer and a huge thank you for Linda from Calling it Home for including me in this amazing group of designers! Before we get into the details, I want to make sure you know where we started with this makeover and if you did miss last weeks’ post, here is THE BEFORE and you can check out THE PLANS and some awesome DIY CHUNKY SHELVES  and some pretty awesome RECESSED LIGHTS that we tackled so far.

Today I am sharing an update on my bathroom makeover, and I can’t tell you how nervous, excited, scared and overwhelmed I am. When I decided to makeover a bathroom in six weeks, I was clearly out of my mind. Like literally. Of course, we forgot that there are good chances to face with unexpected issues in the process of the makeover and that those problems can delay things.

Yes, you hear me!  Especially when you have a builder grade house and everything is thrown together and is not entirely perfect behind the walls!

Ok. Now I am sure you can’t wait to hear my story…

But here is an inspiration image so that you know what to expect next week:-)

Yes! I can’t wait to see it, too!

So I was hoping to share lovely pictures of the beautiful tiles on the walls and the floor with you today. But I can’t.

If you guys are following this makeover, you know that my husband is a pretty handy guy and we can do lots of DIYs ourselves, and we were planning to the tiles ourselves, too. But because of life is way too busy with work and the kiddos we couldn’t even put our hands on the tiles so we decided to call someone who can help us.  So I found someone, but we found ourselves facing a major issue of not being able to push our bathtub in place, so we had to cut out the drywall to be able to push the tub in place.  That had left us with an unexpected extra day of work.

Oh boy!

So I was wanted to have the tiles done by Monday, but it’s not done you all! It’s not done yet!

The subway tile that is going up around the tub are half up, but that’s it!! I chose to go with the 4 x 12 large subway tiles around the bath, and it will look something like this with black grout.

And this is what we have so far:

We added a packet to the wall and used a black and white tile there

My hub fixed all the holes and cracks on the wall, and now after sanding it,  the walls will be ready for a nice coat of fresh paint.

We still have to build our custom door and put everything in place which does not seem that much, so I am pretty hopeful that on Sunday we will be taking a shower in our new bathroom!

So exciting=)

Be sure to come back because it will be real day next week!!  I can’t wait to share my final room makeover!

In the meantime, I got some pretty awesome accessories from Joss & Main. Check them out:-)

And now be sure to browse through all these fabulous ORC designers! I can’t wait to see each of them shine their beautiful taste and decor style through their makeovers!
