Let's learn how to build this fun DIY Hammock Stand! We started with building the base for the stand.

The first thing we did was to cut notches in the frame. It was easy to attach the base and have a sturdy base for the hammock stand.

Then you attach the side support to the base. You will need an extra person to help you with this step.

Then attach the braces. The braces will reinforce the uprights. Cut them to size - one end to 45 degrees and lock them into place with long wood screws.

This last step is totally optional, but I love a good stain color, and I decided to stain this fun DIY hammock stand.
