BAKED BRIE RECIPE

Sharing is caring!

Have you ever tried Baked Brie? This recipe will be on your favorites list!

I love to entertain in any season but summer, of course, is my favorite season to host parties at my house. And now that we have a fantastic outdoor kitchen our backyard will become a party spot, and I will be making many of these easy appetizers!
Today’s recipe is not only easy, but you can make it look like a very festive appetizer as well. This dish only requires a few ingredients and a little bit of your time, and all your guests will love it. Brie is a very soft and yummy cheese and adding a layer of crisp pastry around it makes it so much better, and it will make all your guests lick their ten fingers.
I used a small size Brie from a supermarket, but you can use the large size as well.

The best Baked Brie recipe.
Ingredients
  • 1 Brie cheese, 4 to 8 ounces, cold
  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Butter
  • Handful crushed pecan
  • 1 egg beaten
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Roll one sheet thawed dough.
  3. Spread the Apple Butter on the sheet and sprinkle crushed pecan over it. Top the sheet with the second pastry sheet and pinch together the edges.
  4. Roll the sheet to be large enough to make two halves that would cover the size of the Brie. Place the brie at the center of the dough square and top it with the second sheet of pastry. With the extra sheet cut out leaves shapes to decorate your appetizer (optional).
  5. Brush it with egg yolks and bake it for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.

This dish can be a fancy looking party pleaser. I made it several times already, and it’s always a huge hit! Give it a go and let me know how you like it!
