HOW TO BUILD THE PERFECT CHEESE BOARD
Happy Fall everyone! Â It’s me again,
Katie from The Casual Craftlete. Â Today I am excited to
share with you a simple fall entertaining idea,
How To Build The
Perfect Cheese Board!
Party season is right around the
corner and I wanted to give you a few easy ideas to throw together a
simple cheese board that will please the crowds. Â As a mom, I like
to keep things simple and low key when it comes to having guests over.
Elaborate dinners are nice, but sometimes I like to put
together a beautiful cheese board for guest to munch on while you
have good conversation.
Of course, you can add whatever you like
to a cheese board. Â I think it must have the following three:
1. Â Cheeses
You must have great cheese on your
cheese board. Â I think pairing three perfect cheeses is all you
need. Â A strong cheese, like blue cheese. Â A sharp hard
cheese, like cheddar and a soft creamy cheese, like brie. Â These
are the holy trinity of cheeses. Â They are fairly inexpensive, if
you buy small quantities. Â Adding different textures and flavors is
the key to the perfect cheese board.
2. Â Crackers and
Bread
I like adding one good hard butter
cracker and a soft bread to the board. Â I know most of the time you
see a soft french bread but I really like the flavor from these mini rye
bread squares. Â They just add another amazing level of flavor.
3. Â Fruits and Nuts
Apples go great with cheese and I
like a tart Granny Smith apple. Â Simply cut the apples into slices.
Mixed nuts add a good crunch and also help mellow out the strong
cheese flavors. Â Last but not least, I recently made a all natural
cinnamon plum jam that adds sweetness.
Like I mentioned earlier, you can add
whatever you like to a cheese board. Â I just think this one is
perfect!
Cheers!
