PAPER BAG STARS IN 5 MINUTES
Today I show you a quick 5 min craft – how to make paper bag stars in 5 minutes. I think it’s a super easy -still festive holiday decor using inexpensive supplies, like paper lunch bags.
This season I decorate a bit differently for the holidays as we live full time in a camper. Space is limited, and I have no storage space at all. I used natural elements to decorate for Christmas, but these paper bag stars were high on my favorites list. I have seen these stars on Instagram, and I wanted to give it a go. I am not sure who came up with this idea originally, but it’s a phenomenal idea.
WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE PAPER BAG STARS
- 9 PAPER LUNCH BAGS
- HOT GLUE GUN
- SCISSORS
- TWINE
This is really what you need to make this fun and beautiful holiday decor.
HOW TO MAKE PAPER BAG STARS
Get ready!
You need at least 5 minutes, but maybe more like 8-10 minutes from start to finish paper bag star.
STEPS TO MAKE PAPER BAG STARS
Start gluing the 9 paper bags together. Add a T shape line of glue to the paper bag, then lay the next bag on top. Then continue this step for 8 more bags.
Once all nine bags are glued together, cut the design per your wish. This is the fun part. You can get creative and make your own paper bag star the way you want it.
Once your design is finished, glue the last two paper bags together.
Cut a hole and pull through a piece of twine to hang the star.

You can make lovely cookies for the tree with paper bags using simple shapes–stuff with shredded paper too. Saw it done a long time ago, think it was Carol Duval.
I’ve got to buy some paper bags and try making those lovely paper bag stars! I hope mine turn out as pretty as yours.
