DIY SUNBURST MIRROR
Are you ready for an easy tutorial today?
I will show you how to make this cool SUNBURST MIRROR out of board paper.
I made thisΒ sunburst mirror couple of weeks ago, but never got a chance to share it yet. This project is part of the bedroom makeover Β that we are currently working on. When I planned our bedroom I knew I wanted to have a sunburst mirror as a part of our new decor.
I spied this image on Pinterest {below } months ago and I really liked it. This image did not take me to an actual site, however one of the reader directed me to the site, The Nesting Place, where this Pinterest picture came from.
It was a great inspiration for me.
Are you ready to make your own Sunburst mirror?
Things you will need:
-2 huge board papers
-scissor
-glue
-small round mirror
-15 minutes π
I bought my huge white board papers at dollar store.
As a first step, I draw big triangles using the width of the paper. I draw straight lines with a piece of wood pallet, that’s what Β I had handy;-)Hmmm. Strange.
After I had all the triangles drawn, I cut them out.
Once I was done with the large triangle shapes, I cut 8 smaller ones.
Layered all my triangles first on the floor to see how I am going to glue them on my small circle mirror.
Before I glued them on , I folded each triangle in the middle.
Then I glued them in the back of the mirror with my hot glue gun. I really love using hot glue because it’s the fastest and probably the strongest glue for projects like this.
Glued each triangle, layering them on the top of each other.
It didn’t take but maybe 15 minutes to tackle this easy sunburst mirror.
Β I think it looks absolutely great in my bedroom. You can not really from a distance that is made out from paper.
What do you think?
I am loving it!
