Last month when I wrote my post for FloraCraft® I mentioned that that was my last post with them as my contract ended. Then all the team members got invited to rejoin the team for another six months and me so happily sad a fat YES as I loved working with FloraCraft® products. So you should expect lots of creative ideas for the future months. 🙂 FloraCraft® just came out with an awesome Halloween Idea eBook. This book has many great ideas with full tutorials so be sure to check it out! For this month’s theme, we had to pick a project from this eBook, and we had to recreate it in our style. How fun is that!
Here is the eBook for you to peek in!
I picked these flower pumpkins for my project. They are gorgeous and so easy to make!
And what is my way of recreation? Of course to use what I have on hand and add a unique twist to it. I decided to make DIY brown paper pumpkin.
HELLO BROWN PAPER
I think we all have a roll of brown paper laying around somewhere in the house, am I right? So why not to use it to create a pretty awesome project to decorate your home!
MATERIALS NEEDED TO CREATE THE PROJECT
-a roll of brown paper
-hot glue gun
-small wood stick
-FloraCraft® Foam Tools
Cut a small part of the ball off with your cutting tool.
Cut lots of 0.5-inch pieces off your roll of paper ( see pic below)
Push your wood stick inside of your ball, right at the center, leaving about 3 inches wood stick out – this will make the stem
Pinch together the paper pieces with your fingers and using hot glue, secure the two edges together. It will form kind of like a heart shape.
Start gluing your shapes to the ball until you cover the ball entirely.
Now, give yourself a nice tap on your shoulder, the project is done!
Isn’t it crazy easy and so lovely?
This gorgeous paper pumpkin makes a darling addition to my fall mantle. Love the texture of this pumpkin so much!
If you missed seeing my fall home tour, be sure to hop over and check it out!
And see how much my room changed over a period of one year. The furniture stayed the same but we painted our room with fresh white paint and added built in shelves and it made a huge difference!
I really hope that I inspired you to dig out that roll of brown paper!
Have a lovely week!
