BAKED APPLES
I am feeling fall in the air and this time of the year my oven is turned on more than in the summer time usually. We are huge apple fans. We love to pick apples each year at a nearby apple orchard. It’s such a great activity with the kiddos. The weather had been yuky this past week as it rained every day, but I am hoping to take the boys to this fun place to pick some apples next weekend. Today I am going to share a super easy Baked Apple recipe with you guys. It’s not only easy, but a fantastic side dish with meats or it could even serve as a great dessert, too.
For this recipe, I used medium size yummy Fuji apples.
I used my apple core cutter to cut out the middle of the apples. Then I cut a little piece of the core and tug it back into the hole at the bottom of the apple.
- 4 medium Fuji Apples
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- Preheat oven for 400F.
- Wash the apples.
- Cut out the apple’s core with a core cutter or with a knife if you don’t have a core cutter handy.
- Mix raisins and brown sugar then fill up the holes with your sugar and raisin mix.
- Bake until the apples are beautifully golden brown and tender, for about 25-30 minutes.
- Enjoy these delicious apples with meat or serve them simply as desserts.
Oh, these apples are not only delicious but gorgeous too. Don’t you think?
I like to drizzle some crushed pecan on my Apple just because I love pecan so much. It’s optional, though. If you serve this apple as a dessert, you can totally serve it with a scoop of ice cream as well.:-)
My other favorite apple recipe is this lovely Apple pie with caramel sauce. It’s SOO good.

Thank you so much, Celyn! Have a great day!
This is the first time I’ve heard about apples being baked as a whole and I think it’s worth trying for. A healthy recipe for the whole family.
You got to try this! We love it!
