Blueberry Oatmeal Bar (1)

Today I am sharing an easy and healthy snack recipe. This great snack only need a few ingredients, and you most likely have those ingredients in your pantry and refrigerator. That means so you can jump right into it and make it for today’s afternoon snack. My kids love to snack and I love whey snack on something that is not full of sugar. The original recipe called for 1 cup sugar, however I only used 1/2 cup, and it was just delicious, not too sweet.

I only had blueberry jam at home but substitute it with your favorite jam. I tried with strawberry just recently and it was just as great as with blueberry jam.

The top of these oatmeal bars were a bit crumbly but my kids loved them and so did I. Our pan got empty pretty soon and didn’t have much left at the end of the day. You can store it for next day by putting  it into a plastic box.

    1. Pam, sorry for the late response, I was on vacation…I usually have rolled oats at home and that’s what I use for my baking and cooking needs. Hope you will enjoy!Have a great night!

    1. Sylvia, I think you could use fresh blueberries. I would maybe cook them with a little bit of sugar and water so it would have a little bit thicker sauce. Let me know how it worked out! have a great day!
