I am so excited to share my new Comfort Works slipcover for my IKEA Stocksund sofa with you all!
And guess what! It’s the 4th week of the One Room Challenge, guys! If you are new here, and you have no clue what I am talking about, read more about the challenge and see my progress in the last three weeks HERE. Our living room is nicely coming together. I (We) made huge progress from last week to this week and that’s a big weight off of my shoulder. I finally see the room I have planned coming along. It’s not so easy to make room plans and stick to them, although I am doing pretty good with my current room challenge as far as keeping the details I have planned.
Just a reminder of how this room looked like before.
EEEEK! Loving the progress so far:-)
Did you notice that little sneak peek of our FANTASTIC built-ins on the first pic above? Can’t wait to share the deets of how we built it next week.
But now let’s talk about my new slipcover.
I got my IKEA STOCKSUND sofa few years ago. When we purchased it, we chose the beige slipcover which is pretty nice and sturdy. The sofa is very comfortable, so I had no intention to change it in the near future, but as I am doing our living room makeover, I was aiming to see a different slipcover on the sofa. Now that we painted our walls ULTRA WHITE I wanted a slipcover that will contrast well with the bright walls. That’s when Comfort Works came into the picture.
(This image below is the beige cover I had originally.)
Comfort Works is an Australian based company, and they can make the slipcover of your dream. They don’t only make slipcovers for IKEA sofas but Pottery Barn Sofas, and they can make custom sofa covers for any sofa you have. You can go online and see their fabric selection. Once you have your fabric chosen, you can send a request to get a sample of the material. I had such a hard time to pick my favorite, so I asked 4-5 different colors and material swatches. Initially, I wanted to go with the ROUGE INDIGO velvet but then I stuck with the ROUGE ASH, and I couldn’t be happier with it.
I also ordered some new replacement IKEA SOFA legs as I wanted a more modern look for my sofa.
After I had placed my order, my Stocksund slipcover arrived within a few weeks. I was able to track my package and soon after my new slipcover was delivered to my door.
The cover was folded in the bag, and it did not take more than 5 minutes to change my existing slipcover over to my new cover. Everything was fitting just perfectly, and I LOVED the new look of my sofa.
It’s very comfy, soft and it looks fantastic with my new clean white walls and colorful NEW rug!:-)
If you have a sofa that you love but you are bored with the cover, just take a look what Comfort Works can offer, and you will be amazed. There is no reason to purchase new furniture. You can make your sofa look brand new by changing the cover on it. I am very impressed with the quality of the fabric and how perfectly it fits my sofa. It looks way better than my old one.
And there is the peek of the built-ins again. The walls are still empty, but I am working on my large wall art.:-)
So what do you think of my new sofa cover?
