HOW TO QUICKLY REFRESH YOUR BEDROOM

Did you know that this week is “National make your bed week”? I know your answer…I had no idea either until Karin from Crane & Canopy reached out to me and asked me if I would want to try her beautiful bedding and perhaps refresh my bedroom. I worked with her before and I LOVED the bedding I received last year. So a girl like me says YES to that question:-)

But wait, I just shared my bedroom reveal a few months ago. Let’s just clarify that I LOVE my bedroom. It’s so special to me as there are so many DIYs there in that room. But sometimes little changes can add to the room and can create a totally different look. You don’t need to get out and buy new furniture, paint walls, add new artwork but maybe switch up things a little bit. Do you make your bed every day? I do. And it really doesn’t take a whole lot. Making your bed every morning is one of life’s small, but important tasks. A well-made shows discipline, pride, order and a sense of accomplishment and there’s also nothing like coming home to a well-made bed. Here is a quick video of HOW TO MAKE A BED

Here are 5 tips for you to give your bedroom a quick refresh:

Get a new bedding
Change out throw pillows
Add texture with a nice and cozy throw
Move small decor pieces around

1. GET A NEW BEDDING

My pretty bedding that you see on the images is from Crane & Canopy. It was love at first sight. This 400 thread count pintuck bedding is combining modern textures with soft tones. It washed it and pulled it on right away. Do you know what’s great about it? I did not have to iron it after I took it out from my dryer. I pulled the duvet right on and it looked perfect which is super important for me.

2. SWITCH OUT THROW PILLOWS

Switching out throw pillows is so easy and it makes a huge difference. I found these fun Threshold Throw Pillows, and I loved their pattern and color. I think they look so gorgeous with my new white bedding.

3.ADD TEXTURE WITH A UNIQUE AND COZY THROW

I am all about mixing patterns, colors and textures everywhere in my home. I think that helps to bring the look together. As I followed the blue color, I threw this lovely patterned throw on my bed.

4. MOVE SMALL DECOR PIECES AROUND

I am a hoarder. My husband always picks on me for that, but I guess I can’t help it. I drop into Goodwill every week and for sure I bring something home. Oh and of course normally nothing leaves the house:-) I have a little storage that kind of looks like a thrift store already. Every once in a while I need to get in there and organize my stuff but it’s great as I always find things that don’t even remember I had. I brought that blue china vase to the room to add to the blue color theme and it worked perfectly.

5. ENJOY YOUR NEW DESIGN BEFORE YOU GET BORED WITH IT

If you are like me, you can’t have the same design for long without changes. It’s always refreshing and such eye candy to me to see a new design and it makes me one happy gal even if it’s just a quick refresh.
