PERFECT PICNIC { and GIVEAWAY }
I received compensation for the Kirkland’s “Love Your Look” blog post. Kirkland’s partnered with several bloggers like me to raise brand awareness. All purchases and content are on my own accord and reflect my personal opinion and style.
One thing that we like to do often with the family is to go outdoors and throw a spontaneous picnic. Besides the warm sunny days, outdoor activities, and BBQ parties, I think picnicking is one of my most favorite things to do in the summer. My boys absolutely love it because it’s something different than our normal dinners. We also love to do it spontaneously – that’s how we roll! Today I am going to share some tips to make your picnic perfect.
FIND A FUN PLACE TO PICNIC
A picnic can happen anywhere, from our backyard, to the neighborhood’s grassy area and out to the most fun little hidden parks. Picnics are all about being outdoors, while enjoying a delicious meal with friends and family. I like to go and scout for new locations for my photography business and with that said, I always find cute little parks that are perfect spots for picnics.
HAVE A GOOD PICNIC TOTE
Having a good picnic TOTE on hand is very helpful. When I saw this really fun RED PLAID PICNIC TOTE over at Kirkland’s, I immediately fell in love with it. The colors, the plaid, the style. Just fabulous! This fun tote not only looks great and stylish, but is very spacious and has an insulated interior that will keep our treats cool, which is a plus on a hot summer day.
SERVE IT STYLISHLY
I like to serve everything stylishly. Yep. Even out on a picnic it just feels natural to me to serve food stylishly.
I like to pack french baguettes, sometimes already made sandwiches, fruits, grapes, ham or salami. And of course cheese. A picnic isn’t a picnic without cheese for me. I found this wood serving paddle that makes every snack you serve naturally stylish. Having lunch meat, cheese, bread and grapes served together in a stylish way will make everyone hungry:-)
Simple design, natural wooden look and you can totally use it as a cutting board, too. Love it!
Cheese balls…Oh I love them! Those are the perfect to-go appetizers. This super cute wooden condiment bowl can hold cheese balls, fruit or veggies. It has a lid so you can close the bowl and carry it in your tote bag without a problem.
Oh and look at these small wooden plates! Perfect for appetizers.
TAKE INFUSED DRINKS
In the summertime I like to add different fruits and citruses to ice cold water to make the water more refreshing and more delicious. Not to mention that my kids drink more water with fruits added. These really nice turquoise mason jar mugs are great to take these infused drinks out to a picnic.
Don’t you love their cute checkered tops?
ENJOY YOUR PICNIC
Enjoy and repeat! Picnics have a dreamy magical spirit. We as a family love to enjoy the beautiful summer breeze outdoors and have a great and important family time together.
