TIE DYE EASTER EGGS. Make it in 10 minutes!!!!

How cool are these TIE DYE EASTER EGGS? Well, I think they look super cool!

I am super late to the Easter craft game, but I did it. I couldn’t help but quickly whip up this excellent project just a few days before Easter. Totally my style of crafting.

I had a bunch of wooden eggs from last year ( it was just a trip to Target one day, and I couldn’t leave these fun wooden eggs behind). But I guess I did not have any time or fun idea to project with them last year so I dug them out a few days ago and I used them for this Tie dye project. You can purchase these eggs at Amazon; I link them below under “Things you will need”.

I had some RIT dye from a previous project, and of course, I couldn’t come up with a better idea than using the same technique on these wooden eggs.

Are you ready to learn how to make these TIE DYE easter eggs?

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

wooden eggs
RIT dye – Royal BLUE ( that’s what I had handy, but you can use any color you like)
rubber bands
ziplock bag
10 minutes 🙂

Wrap the wooden eggs with rubber bands. Use more than one and wrap your eggs as tight as you can.

Prepare the dye with warm water ( read the instruction on the box) and drop your eggs into the dye mix. I used a ziplock bag, but it’s not necessary. I didn’t have any bowl handy that I wanted to mess with the dye.

Soak the eggs for a good 5-10 minutes, or until you reach the desired color on your eggs.

Place your eggs on parchment or waxed paper and let them dry.

TIP: If you put the paper over a muffin tray then you don’t have to worry about them rolling.

Remove the rubber bands and enjoy your pretty, uneven, cool random patterns on your eggs. This project can be done on real, blown eggs as well- just be careful how tight you get the rubber bands.
