Spring Home Tour-30

Spring is finally here in Virginia and with that I felt ants in my pants to decorate for spring. This is the second day of the Blogger Stylin’ home tours hosted by the sweet Lindsay at The White Buffalo Styling Co. I am humbled to be joining this  fabulous group of bloggers. If you missed yesterday’s line up be sure to check them out, they are all fabulous home tours.

If you are new to this little happy place of mine, welcome. Hope you will stick around:-) If you are following me for awhile you know that I color has space in my heart and I have no fear of using colors in my home.

I can easily get inspired by color and that can lead to a whole room decor change. Just this past week I took photos of my boys, you can see them here >BROTHERS and that photo shoot (especially their blue polos) totally made me to refresh my entryway. On the pic below you can see a little peak of the gallery wall that I made of the photos I took ( soon to be shared on the blog) and the fun blue color that refreshed my boring wall.

What I love about decorating for Spring is that I can just step outside and cut a pretty tree branch to refresh any space.

My dining room just got a simple, but fun makeover few months ago when I updated an IKEA cabinet with reclaimed wood. I added black artwork to the DIY FRAME that we made, but I drew some new spring inspired art to refresh the room with happy colors.

For table centerpiece I added simple water bottles with branches.

Spring Home Tour-2Living room refresh started with pulling the yellow rug from the dining room.  I always shop my home first when I am switching to a new season in decor. I had a “white winter wonderland” for Christmas in this room and now it’s all about colors. Love it!

Added some greens to the room, too. Found this Elephant Ears plant for $10 at a local grocery store. Now I only hope to keep it live:-)

Drew this dude ( in the shop) the other morning. Painting relaxes me big time, especially in the morning when the house is still quite. I just wish I could wake up early every day to create-ha!

Now I can show you peek into my bedroom that has not been revealed yet. Few more projects to share and the reveal will be coming soon.:-) I feel that this room has been evolving so much since I started working on it. Literally almost everything is DIY-ed in here.

Do you spot that gorgeous watercolor fabric? Check out how I updated the lampshade with it HERE
