8 SIMPLE GIFT WRAPPING IDEAS WITH BROWN PAPER

December 23, 2013 By Aniko 8 Comments

Eight simple ways to wrap gifts using all but brown paper purchased from the dollar store. This is probably the most inexpensive way. 🙂

WRAP GIFTS
Well, we are right at the finish line with Christmas.
I am so sad to see that this wonderful, creative season is coming to an end. It went by so fast, and I was inspired by many fantastic ideas from creative and talented blogger friends.
This year I had lots of Christmas related posts and I have to tell you that I LOVED working on so many of them. Here are some of YOUR favorites.

…so, onto gift wrapping…

This past weekend was time to finally wrap our gifts.

For some reason, I always leave it for last minute.
but,
I {heart} wrap a gift.
I always have… in my entire life!
This year {and last year as well–see below} I used brown paper for wrapping gifts.
Can you get anything less expensive than that?
The dollar store sells these literally huge rolls. Lots of paper!
I got a few rolls and used my leftover crafty accessories from previous crafting projects
-yarn
-plastic cups
– burlap

I cut out some BIG numbers to put on each gift.
{ I used my silhouette to cut my numbers }
I used these TRADES JOE’s paper bags
to make florets and cut stripes out of them. I kinda liked the color combinations on the bag.

Here is how I used my bag stripe.

My red leftover yarn from the DIY YARN BALL CHRISTMAS TREE project was perfect to decorate my big gift box,and adding some dotted ribbon made it look satisfying to my eyes.

I cut out small heart shapes of my plastic cups, that I used previously on my
 CREAM CHEESE MOUSSE dessert cups.

Oh, this piece of polka dot drop cloth, that I made to create my
 POLKA DOT CHRISTMAS WREATH
is still one of my favorite this season.
I had a little rectangle shape left behind and I could totally see it on a gift box as an embellishment.

Here, at gift #4 I also used the little plastic cup strings.
