COLORFUL Outdoor space refresh with Tuesday Morning
Guys! We are stepping into my most favorite season – Spring/Summer, and I am super excited to share my outdoor space refresh with you all today! I’ve partnered with Tuesday Morning to show you how to use color and unique accessories in your outdoor decor. Color is my thing! Did you notice? In my wardrobe, so as in my home!:-)
Seeing the sun shining has me excited! Hasn’t it been the longest winter? The warm(er) weather finally had arrived in RVA, and I am about to open up my back porch for summer party entertaining that all my friends are waiting for. Woohoo! My most favorite thing in the world is to host parties! My besties say that I am the “hostess with the mostess” lol. If you remember for my post from last year, we tackled a huge patio project. HUGE project! We built our long-time planned back patio paradise/outdoor kitchen which turned out incredible, and it was in use literally all day, every day last summer! So this year I had a strong base to start with when I started thinking about refreshing the space.
But, you know me well… I like changes and to be quite honest, some outdoor accessories needed to be replaced as they had some wear and tear on them. Plus I wanted to add pops of colors to the space. I love what my friend Bre did on her Modern Outdoor Porch Makeover.
Tuesday Morning was the perfect store to visit to grab unique, one of a kind outdoor space accessories. I love shopping at Tuesday Morning because I always snag limited edition items at a great price that the buyers travel around the world to search for.
One of my favorite tips to refresh your outdoor space:
ADD COLOR TO YOUR SPACE
Look at those lanterns and colorful pots. Totally my jam! Sometimes you don’t need to add large furniture pieces o refresh an outdoor space but rather small accessories that make a big statement. Like that bright blue ceramic stool! I love bold, edgy decor and I found some real, mind-blowing deals! I grabbed a few (THREE to be exact- cause I wanted them all haha) of those fantastic white lanterns and that bold, blue ceramic stool that had been priced for only $49 compared to the original $90-$129.99. What a deal! Tuesday Morning sells quality products at incredible savings, and that always is an essential factor to keep in mind! I am such a bargain shopper and It makes my heart go pitter patter when I can achieve something for less. Like this outdoor space refresh! Are you with me?
The blue outdoor rug was love at first sight. For some reason, I have always been attracted to the shade of blues. Like a lot. Blues makes me happy. 🙂 And this blue was just the perfect addition to my deck!
When the beautiful summer season kicks in (hello- we are expecting 80’s next week), we take this outdoor space over and going to hang out here ALL THE TIME! Kid, you not! We cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner out there and we sit down to enjoy our meal as a family together. I found some pretty cool plates and bowls that are perfect for outdoor use. They are acrylic and pretty bohemian. Love the pattern, and the colors are incredibly inviting!
And look at these cute salt ceramics? Right on spot with the red and blue combo and design!
Don’t you love this colorful outdoor paradise?
I can’t wait to spend time out here with friends and family! All the accessories and items form Tuesday Morning allowed me to find inspiration in bringing in colors and we sure will host the best spring/summer celebration that will be one for the books.
This post is in partnership with Tuesday Morning. All opinions are 100% on my own
I have a question: Is the island built over a concrete slap? And are the pergola post attached to this concrete slab? Or do they have like concrete footings? Thanks!
Do you mean the first level? I am sorry I am not sure what you refer to an island…but there is no concrete slab. And the pergola posts has a 4 feet deep concrete footings, it’s not attached to anything. But there is a post – DIY OUTDOOR KITCHEN on the blog where you can see more pictures of how the process went. Email me if you have any questions.:-)
Thanks! Which size are the pergola post? 6 in x 6 in, or 8 in x 8 in? Your backyard looks amazing!
Where did you get the table? I can’t donsomething this beautiful without a table!
Love the refresh! This space looks amazing! I wish our backyard looked like this!
I am super pumped about this space still. Just love every inch of it and I can’t wait to open it up to my friends again lol. They literally call me asking ” When is Aniko’s bar open this summer?” lol!! Thanks for checking in, girl!
Your deck is pretty. I cleaned mine yesterday and now hope it stays warm and the wind goes down. Enjoy your time out there
