HAPPY AND ORGANIZED GARAGE REVEAL
Garage, organized! Wow, what a project, glad it’s done!
After a lot of work, now you can come see the reveal of our happy and organized garage!
It’s hard to believe that this is our garage.
Really.
We started working on this garage organizing project last summer. Now you are probably thinking that if it took a year for us to have this look, you will never going to start yours – ha.
No – no, it did not take a year to finish it.
We stopped working on it for the winter months, and we had a long winter this year.
It took a few weekends to fix the bigger projects, like building the storage wall and putting up the pegboard.
My primary goal right now is to keep this place organized and uncluttered as much as possible.
If you have been following me for a while, you probably have seen the BEFORE picture already, and a few bigger projects that I had shared. But if you are new, here is the before picture.
Are you ready?
Please don’t judge! It was a mess before!
It is possible. You can do it too! I gathered some ideas last year HERE,
and we planned out beforehand what we would like to see in the garage.
First, we built this amazing storage wall, and we used large bins to organize little things such as seasonal decorations,
grocery bags, jars, paper towels, toilette papers etc.
These huge containers are perfect for hiding things that you don’t want to see laying around!
My boys have SOME (yeah, just a few) bikes, motorcycles that needed a garage space-ha.
This little nook in the storage wall is perfect to store these bikes.
I got huge round bins at Home Depot that holds WATER TOYS and YOGA MATS and PICNIC blankets.
I also labeled them. 🙂 My plan is to label every single bin but I have not gotten there yet.
My real favorite and maybe the smallest project in the garage is the painted stairs. What a huge difference a little painting can make.
We found a perfect solution to store our bikes. It’s a piece of cake to put the bikes in place.:-)
We used pegboards around the garage wall. I can not tell you how much I love pegboards.
The best way to get everything organized, every little thing!!
I used an old shoe organizer to store my spray paints instead of throwing them into one big box.
Now I can see what colors I have handy by just looking at the organizer.

I LOVE the finished look and me sometimes I think I could sleep here now:-)

I hope you found some inspiration to tackle your organizing this weekend..:-)
Thanks for visiting today, have a wonderful weekend!
Xoxo
The garage looks great, well organized and easy to maintain. Also like that paint holder. Have a shoe holder hanging around now I know what to do with it. Question- I keep looking at your peg boards and I do not detect any space between them and the board. How do you hang them without spacers to allow the hooks to hold?
Thank you.
PS: I so look forward to your monthly watercolour calendars and am afraid I become rather impatient waiting to see what you have come up with. Your last few months of 2019 were particularly lovely and a real joy to see on my computer screen everyday. However not loving the new direction with the real fruit. Will this be the direction for the rest of the year?
