HAPPY AND ORGANIZED GARAGE REVEAL
Garage, organized! Wow, what a project, glad it’s done!
After a lot of work, now you can come see the reveal of our happy and organized garage!
It’s hard to believe that this is our garage.
Really.
We started working on this garage organizing project last summer. Now you are probably thinking that if it took a year for us to have this look, you will never going to start yours – ha.
No – no, it did not take a year to finish it.
We stopped working on it for the winter months, and we had a long winter this year.
It took a few weekends to fix the bigger projects, like building the storage wall and putting up the pegboard.
My primary goal right now is to keep this place organized and uncluttered as much as possible.
If you have been following me for a while, you probably have seen the BEFORE picture already, and a few bigger projects that I had shared. But if you are new, here is the before picture.
Are you ready?
Please don’t judge! It was a mess before!
It is possible. You can do it too! I gathered some ideas last year HERE,
and we planned out beforehand what we would like to see in the garage.
First, we built this amazing storage wall, and we used large bins to organize little things such as seasonal decorations,
grocery bags, jars, paper towels, toilette papers etc.
These huge containers are perfect for hiding things that you don’t want to see laying around!
My boys have SOME (yeah, just a few) bikes, motorcycles that needed a garage space-ha.
This little nook in the storage wall is perfect to store these bikes.
I got huge round bins at Home Depot that holds WATER TOYS and YOGA MATS and PICNIC blankets.
I also labeled them. 🙂 My plan is to label every single bin but I have not gotten there yet.
My real favorite and maybe the smallest project in the garage is the painted stairs. What a huge difference a little painting can make.
We found a perfect solution to store our bikes. It’s a piece of cake to put the bikes in place.:-)
We used pegboards around the garage wall. I can not tell you how much I love pegboards.
The best way to get everything organized, every little thing!!
I used an old shoe organizer to store my spray paints instead of throwing them into one big box.
Now I can see what colors I have handy by just looking at the organizer.
HAPPY AND ORGANIZED GARAGE – check!
I LOVE the finished look and me sometimes I think I could sleep here now:-)

I hope you found some inspiration to tackle your organizing this weekend..:-)
Thanks for visiting today, have a wonderful weekend!
Xoxo
Hi. What a wonderful transformation. My garage currently looks like yours used to!! It is now time to focus our attention there and I’m going to use several of the ideas you laid out. Thank you!! But if you wouldn’t mind, can you explain the bike hanging storage a little more. I am lost on how to put away our 5 bikes and this looks simpler and less expensive than other ideas I have seen. But I just can’t seem to figure out from your pictures exactly the what you used. Thanks so much for your help!
Hi Nana! Here is the link on the monkey bar bike storage. Please read more about it here. If you have any questions, please let me know!https://placeofmytaste.com/2014/05/garage-organizing-garage-bike-rack.html
What does the saying on the top stair say?
Hello, the saying on the stairs say: “Steps to our life…”:-) Have a great week, thank you for visiting!
The green storage rack would be great for us to store extra paper products, bottled water, laundry detergent, extra cleaning supplies, etc. Right now they are inside a storage cabinet in garage and taking up space I could use for other things. If it is visible out n the open, you can see what you are in need of replenishing supplies, etc. I could see it having a lot of other uses too. I’ve pinned this and will show it to our handyman to hire to build for us. I sure wished my DH was physically able to do this for us but he’s not.
It is a great solution to hold products and supplies! Such change for us after our very cluttered garage:-) Have a fantastic day, Betty!
I absolutely love this transformation! It’s beautiful and give me hope for my garage.
Thank you Emily! Have a fantastic week!
The difference is amazing!
Thanks for linking up to the Parenting Pin It Party last week x x
You did an awesome job! I want my garage to look like this!! Thanks for sharing at the Thoughtful Spot Weekly Blog Hop!
I adore this garage!!! And your before pic sure does look like my NOW pic. I love the shoe hanger for the spray cans. Totally going to do that. Thanks for linking up to the Bloggers Brags Pinterest Party. I’ve pinned your post to the Bloggers Brags Pinterest Board
Could you share how you made the storage wall??
So many great ideas! Perfect timing, too – we’re starting on our garage next week. I love how you hung the bikes!
I love what you did. I’d love to see a layout of the entire garage to see how each area fits together/relates to the others. I’ve been trying to find a plan that will work for our garage so we can still open the doors on the cars! lol
Love the green shelves, stairs, and decorative paint on the walls! My garage needs some serious help. Never thought garages could look so cheerful! Thanks for sharing!
looks awesome!! I love this!!!
Aniko, I am simply memorized by all of this organization! I especially love how you put up the bikes and got stuff off the floor. We had a long winter, too. I think this week we’re finally out of it and can now start organizing the garage. Thanks for the inspiration!
So super awesome and amazing friend! Pinning!
Thank you sweet Friend! Have a terrific weekend!
Congrats, Aniko! Your garage looks BEAUTIFUL. I love knowing where everything is! Putting the spray paint in the shoe organizer is so smart! I am totally using that idea. 🙂
Thank You, Alexis 🙂 I love that I know where everything is now!It took at least 5 min. before to find something in the mess…no fun!!Have a lovely weekend!
WOWOW this is amazing! every aspect and I love the green color…what paint is that?
Thanks for your kind words:) I realized that I did not included the paint color in the post…its Behr -grass cloth. Have a wonderful weekend!!
I’m going to have to show this to my husband! He would love the garage to look like this:)
Just show him Erika!! You two can make it if he is handy:) Have a great weekend!!
If HE is handy? And here I thought you were doing the construction labor. I guess it does help to have a partner but I’m sure you are also capable!
I love this! Love the storage rack you made and the colored peg board. Beautiful blue and green theme you have going on. Lovely inspiration. Maybe one day (when the weather decides to get warmer) I can finish up my garage. 🙁
Well done and high five! 😀
Thank You so much Julie! I am loving the green and blue combination. So springy:-) Have a terrific weekend and I hope once the good weather kicks in you will be able to get some organizing done:-)
