SUMMER HOME TOUR 2016

Sharing is caring!

Hello and welcome if you are coming from Nesting with Grace. I am so excited to take part again in this fabulous HOME TOUR GALORE hosted by the sweet Lindsay over at TheWhite Buffalo Styling Co. The Blogger Stylin Home Tours are one of my favorite blog hops. It’s my 3rd time to participate, and I love every bit of it as it’s a fantastic and crazy talented group of bloggers and there is so much inspiration!
I just revealed our family room about three weeks ago, and there is really not a whole lot that I added to my summer home decor but some pretty cool pillows that I DIYed this past weekend.
SHIBORI-1Yup! I made  some darling shibori pillows:-) I swapped out the pillows I had in the living room on my fun leather couch to these fabulous tie dye pillows that I made and I love how they changed the vibe of the entire room. I already loved everything in the living room but my new pillows made my heart go pitter-patter.
So without further ado, let me walk you around in my home!

Welcome to my summer home tour!!

I love to add fresh branches and greens from the yard. I cut some magnolia branches to add greenery to my entryway.

This little ENTRYWAY is so great. I came up with this cute design last fall, and I can’t tell you how much we love our organized space. Those baskets are perfect to keep hats, sweaters and anything that would end up on the floor otherwise. I had a corkboard in here and that was covered with yellow fabric but for a bit of changed I covered the board with small pieces of tie-dye fabric that I had left from m weekend project.

And here are those pillows I mentioned. Aren’t they gorgeous?
I could not love them more. Blue is one of my favorite colors and I pretty much have shades of blue all over my home.

I love to surround myself with greens and plants but I have to admit that I have such hard time keeping my plants  alive. I water when I remember….and I don’t always remember:-)

Our living room is open to our dining room and I try to have a cohesive look in both rooms. As you see I love lots of textures, layers, and pop of colors. Everywhere.

Those massive FRAMES were a DIY-ed couple of years ago, and I typically change the art in there in every season. This time, I added the first art collection, the “black and white” art back to the frames that I created when the frames were made. The big owl is pretty striking in there!

I found this amazing runner  (two-sided) at World Market the other day and as a centerpiece, I just added eucalyptuses, some fresh fruit and some shibori napkins that I made from the leftover fabric. I like to keep it simple!

And the kitchen opens to our family room that was just revealed few weeks ago.
If you have not seen the reveal, CLICK HERE to see it. The before and after is just incredible. We love how much more airy, spacious and bright this room got by adding the built-ins, and by painting the walls with white paint.

The rug is from RugsUSA, and it’s SOOO fabulous. It’s almost like vintage but it’s a little shinier and is super comfy!

The IKEA BILLY built-ins are my favorite part of the room!

Just a quick peek into our bedroom upstairs.
This gorgeous HEADBOARD was a DIY, and it was a labor of love but hey….he final result was so beautiful that I forgot all the sweating I had with this project right away.

And last but not least, our favorite summer space is our outdoor paradise. I refreshed our pallet patio about a month ago with some blue ( of course) shades and we are ready to have some margaritas out there with some amazing friends!
