Do you ever wonder where to hide the cat litter box in an RV? Well, I have good news for you. We’ve found the perfect place to store/hide the cat litter box in our camper(s), and this post will talk about just that.

We have been traveling with our furry friends for about a year and a half now. Wow! Time flies. We have a tabby cat Abby, and our golden doodle, Boomer. Before we started full-time traveling, we lived in a two-story home. Our pets did not get along well. Abby pretty much stayed upstairs in our house while Boomer was only allowed downstairs. As we had the cat in the house first, she was unhappy when our furball moved in with us.
With the situation mentioned above, I was super nervous about moving into a camper (full time)with our pets. But to my biggest surprise, it took them just a short time in our tiny corners to get along with one another. They can tolerate each other, but they don’t snuggle just yet.:-)
But let’s talk about where we hide the cat litter box in an RV!

We decided to hide the cat litterbox in the boy’s bunk room cabinetry in our previous camper. It was an easy fix. We added a shelf to separate that big space, and we organized her litterbox to one corner and her food bowls to another. She loved to have her own little secret space to go to the bathroom and eat her meals.
Last time we used an interior cat door in our old camper, and it was neat. I added a little more character to our decor in our travel trailer.
HIDE THE CAT LITTER BOX IN THE DINETTE BENCH

Hiding the cat litter box on our dinette bench in our new camper was a great idea. We added a section to separate Abby’s litter box from her food, and we also decided to add a wood piece with a circle cut on it on the side of the beach as an entrance for our little kitty’s private area. Our dog kept getting into her food bowl in the middle of the night, so we wanted to make sure our fluffy head couldn’t dig in anymore.

Materials/Tools we used
- Dremmel Ultra Saw
- Tape Measure
- PLYWOOD cut to size or 1/8 inch woodcraft plywood
Why is it important to hide the cat litter box in an RV?
- Cats like to be private ( we all do, right?)
- In such a tiny space, the odor can be intense – hiding a litter box will prevent odor in your camper
- if you have other pets traveling with you, it is essential to separate their food sources

Abby loves her little secret place, and so do we. And now Boomer can’t dig his big fluffy head under the bench.:-) Winner!

Thanks for visiting today!:-)
